Yes this is what they call a kitchen. 2 burners only---1 problem they only work on HIGH. When I cook I have to stand there and turn the burner off and on. So much fun.
You notice there is no oven. I mentioned how much I missed cornbread to a lady staying in complex. She had never heard of cornbread. Poor lady--deprived and didn't know it.
The living room is big. One of the cleaning ladies told me this was new furniture. The couch makes out to a double bed, so come visit, we have a place for you to sleep.
At home we have a handicap commode, it is so high the tips of my big toes touch the floor. I have not got adjusted to this one. Every time I sit, I have the feeling that I have missed and falling to the floor.
The bedroom is bigger than at home. The closet goes the full width of the room. Too bad we don't have that many clothes.
This view is so pretty when it snows. The mountains (foothills) glisten in the sun.
This view is prettier in the snow also. There is a dog in one of the yards. When we 1st arrived, he would bark, Bou would sit below the window and bark back at him.
We looked at another place last weekend. Only queen size beds...Too much togetherness. Had a dishwasher, now--why do you need a dishwasher when you only have 3 place settings. NO oven---still can't cook cornbread or biscuits. All I was asking for was an oven.
Today Danny, 1 of the maintenance men, spent 2 hours working on problems.
1. We will be able to control the heat!!!(HAHA) Heat is furnished by hot water pipes running along the baseboard. The thermostat on the wall is a joke, if you turn on the a/c to cool off---that makes the furnace cut on. Fighting a loosing battle. 3rd time they have worked on it. Maybe???
2. Replaced parts on the burners, so now I can cook without the on/off action.
3. The refrigerator made a loud rattle every time it turns off---it was quiet for awhile.
They have been good to me. I report problems, they fix them. Whoever gets this apartment when we leave will have no problems.
Remember Danny in your prayers. He is a young Christian who comes from a Buddhist background. He takes his step children to church while Mom stays home. Stan, the manager, is a minister from TN who doesn't mind answering his questions.
